Episode 1: My "Medicine" Cabinet

Writer's picture: Victoria CroletVictoria Crolet

We have been in a loop of what seems like a never ending cycle of sickness. Everyone seems to have been passing about the norovirus, strep.. possibly even covid is going back around as well as the always hated Flu. So, the question becomes; What can we do at home to prevent and cure our coughs and colds? Mindfully, I give a warning to everyone that I am obviously NO doctor and will never prescribe anything and highly suggest talking with your doctor about using anything suggested in this blog! I have been studying food healing for well over a decade and enjoy sharing my personal experiences and products I keep at home for this purpose. Especially, when we have children who attend school and bring home extra germs.

  1. Liquid Vitamin D supplements: Every cold winter, I try to escape somewhere warm. It doesn't always happen and we know lack of sunlight = less vitamin D and if we don't have enough it lessens our immune system. Be sure to take a supplement if you need it!

  2. Oregano Oil: Oooh this one is my all time favorite. It is anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial and anti everything and anything else you can think of. It is a game changer for those nasty germs. Keep them at bay with oreganol p93 is my personal favorite. Be cautious, its a hot oil and it must be taken with food. I like to make a hot tea with ONE DROP of oil in it, add youre favorite tea bags and honey if desired.

  3. Mineral Supplement: We need Zinc and other minerals to help boost immune function. Its best to make sure you are eating your minerals through food but when in a pinch or maybe you didnt get enough veggies that day, try to take an extra supplement. I use a mineral supplement found a the food coop and I also love irish sea moss because its mineral content is excellent 96/102 minerals, WOW!
